Four new ASSOCOMAPLAST Members
On the occasion of its meeting on December 18, 2008 the Board of Directors of the Association has accepted the application of GMC snc, PERSICO spa, Engineering and Rotational Divisions, and ROMI ITALIA srl as Effective Members; ABB, Robotics Division as Associated Member. Consequently, for the time being ASSOCOMAPLAST Members are 200.

Italo-Egyptian cooperation
On Wednesday October 22, 2008, in Cairo, ASSOCOMAPLAST and the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry renewed the cooperation agreement for the development of the training and consulting activity carried out by the Plastics Technology Center (PTC) in Alexandria.

PEPTFLOW - First application studies
Recently, Birmingham University has carried out the first studies concerning applications of the European project PEPTFLOW which topic is an innovative technique to visualize polymer melt flow in a twin-screw extruder. The PEPTFLOW project, which ASSOCOMAPLAST participates in as national Italian partner within a Consortium of 15 subjects, has come to the second year of activity. The Code of Ethics, approved by the Association's Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Assembly on June 13, 2007, which commits all Member companies, intends to underline the importance ASSOCOMAPLAST gives to this subject.
